byMATTER was founded in London after years inside the corporate hustle. Working at a top firm, I was expected to look immaculate - yet never given the time or tools to properly care for the clothes I lived in.

I was overwashing, replacing pieces too quickly, and losing the connection to the things I wore every day.

Growing up in South Africa during periods of water shortage taught me that caring for what you own isn’t about excess. It’s about intention.

That belief shapes everything we make - highly effective, resource-aware products designed to extend the life of your wardrobe.

I created byMATTER to make caring for your closet easy, pleasurable, and genuinely worth doing.

The standard is simple: best-in-class, because the clothes worth keeping deserve nothing less.

Return Policy

Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible, products must be unused, unopened and in their original condition and packaging - we're unable to accept a return once a product has been opened or used. Items returned opened, used or damaged will be rejected.

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. We recommend a trackable, insured shipping method, as byMATTER is not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit.

To start a return, contact us at hello@bymatter.com with your order number. We'll confirm your return is eligible and provide the return address.

Once your return is received and inspected, we'll process your refund to the original payment method within 14 business days.
